In the shadow of the magnificent Dhauladhars
I took this shot on a trip to Dharmashala,the capital of Kangra district in the state of Himachal Pradesh,India.Dharmashala is famous for being the abode of the Dalai Lama.
In the background are the Dhauladhar ranges which are a part of the Lesser Himalayas.The highest peak in this range is about 18,500 feet.
Although not as popular with tourists as Shimla or Kullu-Manali, this part of Himachal is extremely picturesque especially in springtime.
