We went for a very short trip to Narkanda,some 70 kms from Shimla,for a couple of days.The picturesque villages in and around Narkanda are famous for apple orchards and at the moment the trees were loaded.This pretty little lake is a few kms from Narkanda and a very nice spot for a picnic.
