I... AM.. .... Canadian {Explore}

I guess I should say, most of this is a famous rant here in Canada for our beer, which incidentally we don't call a case, we call a two-four!

 

Hey, I'm not a lumberjack, or a fur trader....

I don't live in an igloo, eat blubber, or own a dogsled....

although there are days I wish I did (own a dogsled, that is..the blubber I can definitely do without)

I don't know Jimmy, or Sally but I do know Suzy from Canada,

I'm certain they all are really very nice, I know Suzy is!

 

I have a Prime Minister, not a president.

I speak English and French, ( most of the time I can manage both), not American.

And I pronounce it 'about', not 'a boot'.

 

I spell colour with a 'u'

and I'm crazy about spelling!

The beaver is a truly proud and noble animal,

( really incredible, how they sharpen a tree)

A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch,

and it is pronounced 'zed' not 'zee', 'zed' !!!!

 

I drink Red Rose tea,

shovel snow in the winter, witness, all four seasons, well, usually :),

I call kil-ah-meters ......... clicks

I love Group of Seven art, and Emily Carr

Manners, tolerance, acceptance, gratefulness, family, humility, all of these things are a way of life

 

Canada is the second largest landmass!

The first nation of hockey!

and the best part of North America

 

My name is not Joe!!

 

But........ I.......... am ....... Canadian!!!
