1955 Gillott Fleur De lys

The Pennine Co2 pump would inflate a tubular tyre in 2 seconds using a Sparklets cylinder held inside the aluminium tube. The steel bar acted as a lever forcing the cylinder onto a needle inside the tube. The gas would flow through the needle into a rubber bush which is pressed tightly onto the open valve of the tyre. This one is in spring clips with added bar tape. I am trying to recreate the look of racing bikes that were sometimes , especially in the |Tours, festooned with spares. No support car back then.
