The Montserrat

Barcelona Montserrat is a spectacularly beautiful Benedictine monk mountain retreat about one hour northwest from the city of Barcelona by train. From afar, the mountain looks very strange because of its rock formations. Santa Maria de Montserrat is a Benedictine abbey and a basilica located in the Montserrat mountain, place where many pilgrims go, and is the most famous religious site in Catalonia.
