Beer-tasting in Brussels

Had my tastebuds for some workout in Brussels. A couple of friends invited us for some dinner and of course it ain't complete without us having to taste one of Brussels' specialties--their wide range of beers.

It is said that Brussels alone (apart from other parts of Europe) has 400 varieties. I probably tasted (not finished, ok) around 6, so do the Math, I couldn't imagine tasting all of them in my lifetime. :D

Shown above are:

Chimay Red (7% alcohol) ~ It is a dark brown colour and has a sweet, fruity aroma. (actually brewed in Scourmount Abbey, a Trappist monastery).

Hoegaarden (4.9% alcohol) ~ Witbier, the brewery's flagship beer.

Belle-Vue Kriek (5.5% alcohol) ~ is a Belgian beer fermented with sour (also called Morello) cherries.
