The Twin Towers of Asia

The Petronas Twin Towers were the tallest buildings in the world (from 1998 to 2004) until Taipei 101, as measured to the top of their structural components (spires, but not antennas), took over the record.

It was well worth the not-so-comfy overnight train ride from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, after seeing this majestic structure. Just one disappointment though... the building was closed for public viewing during the time we get to KL. Gosh! How lucky can I be?!

I chanced upon seeing this old picture (shot using my first ever 2.5MP digital cam) from my side trip in Malaysia back in 2002.
