Ati-Atihan Festival 2008
Ati-Atihan Festival is a feast held in honor of the Santo Niño and is celebrated on the second Sunday after Epiphany.
Celebrants paint their faces with black soot and wear bright, bizarre costumes as they dance in festivity during the last three days of this two week-long festival.
This is actually my second time attending this colorful event, I couldn't even remember the first one, as I was still a kid back then. Was lucky to get a flight to my family's province just in time for this festivity. It was drizzling the whole day but that didnt't spoil the spirit of fun of the locals and tourists alike... well worth the trip! :)
