Evidently, I'm addicted to Hooded Mergansers and their antics. Of course, it's all about food for them, but it's all about challenging fun action for me. This is a female, and she is indeed being chased by a male - no chivalry here. She had a lot of trouble getting the crayfish down - I thought for sure she'd lose it to the would-be thief, but she flew off to the far side of the pond and managed to swallow it.
Even at 1200mm, this was still cropped some, but looks OK viewed Large.
