Shelter Dogs
The food for the dogs must be prepared, this is done over an open fire and wood is needed. Like most jobs at the shelter it is physically demanding work without any aids.
Every day, all the year round, the people at the shelter takes care of 150-200 dogs; cooking, feeding, cleaning, giving nursing care of the animals. The staff has dedicated their lives to giving these animals a second chance, some of them giving up successful careers to spend all their time looking after the welfare of the animals.
Apart from dogs there are cats, cows and buffalos, just to mention some of the species living at the shelter. The shelter also works to reduce the stray dog population by their catch-neuter-return program.
