Osprey and Harrier: USMC STOVL aircraft

The Marines have never been afraid to employ radical technology to perform their assault missions. They were the first military service to adopt the British-built Harrier 'jump jet' for naval service (even before the Royal Navy did) and have been the driving force behind the MV-22B Osprey tilt rotor aircraft.
