Back in 1986 there were no internet sites that leaked preliminary pictures of LEGO models. I got the first glimpse of a new set when LEGO's new catalog came out, and I still remember getting the 1986 catalog with the Model Team sets on the back cover: 'New, to be released this summer'.
I was already building vehicles back then, but the set blew me away. I saved my pocket money for a few months and when it did finally come out bought it straight away. It is still me favourite LEGO set of all time and it was a pleasure to build this truck in the same style and colour scheme.
