American wrecker truck (revamped)
When I built the original model, there were no suitable mudguards for this size wheels. So it had a complicated 7-wide SNOT-construction for the front mudguards. Now, 14 years later, I was able to replace much of that using mudguard pieces and some slopes. It's simpler and looks far cleaner. The old model had headlight integrated into the mudguards. I couldn't do that with the new construction, so instead I came up with an alternative arrangement, with minifigure binoculars attached to the radiator. This gives it nice double headlights, much like a classic Peterbilt. New hydraulic rams for the crane are a much nice fit than the originals. Other changes are mostly limited to replacing plates on the upper surfaces with tiles, to get rid of visible studs.
