DAF XF105 SSC work in progress
Even before I built my Scania recovery truck, I'd been thinking about building a Dutch DAF truck. DAF is a company located in Eindhoven in the Netherlands, a town where I lived for more than ten years. I have been working a lot in the last months and steadily cranking out new models for the monthly LUGNuts challenges, but in the meantime I have been working on my DAF.
The model is still a work in progress, but my enthusiasm for it has reached a point where I felt the need to share it. The outside is mostly done (apart from two tan hinges that I need to replace with dark red ones and whose colour I changed in the picture) and a few stickers, but the cab's interior is still largely absent. The truck will have a working tilt cab, but as yet doesn't have anything resembling an engine or drive train, so that's another thing that still needs to be done. I also intend to build a trailer for it.
