Fennek SWP
The Fennek, named after a particular type of desert fox, is an armoured reconnaissance vehicle originally built for the armies of the Netherlands and Germany. The Dutch surface-based air defence command, which is a joint Army / Air Force unit uniquely operates 18 examples of the vehicle, known as the Fennek SWP, for Stinger Weapons Platform. These are fitted with four Stinger missiles mounted in a turret, together with an IR camera system, used for short-range air defence.
