Royal Netherlands Navy SH-14D Lynx (2)
The naval version of the Westland Lynx helicopter was developed especially to be flown from small helicopter decks aboard frigates and destroyers. The Royal Netherlands Navy started operating Lynx helicopters in the late 'seventies. They were delivered in three different versions. The Royal Netherlands Navy uses US nomenclature for its helicopters and labelled these the UH-14A, SH-14B and SH-14C, respectively. In the early nineties all surviving airframes were upgraded to a common standard named the SH-14D.
During later upgrades new 'BERP' rotor blades were fitted as well as radar warning receivers and chaff/flare launchers.
