304.365 : Non-Newtonian Fluid Dynamics

Today was an excitement filled day! I got to have a play with non-newtonian fluid [basically corn flour suspension]. There was a genuine reason for this! I'm hoping to produce a scheme for my project [a music centre] where the shell of the building reacts to the sounds to produce a visual representation of the music.

Corn flour suspension, when gently played with has a liquid form, however more forceful actions cause cohesion between the particles. What this means is that if you put it on top of a speaker and resonate it at 80hz, it becomes a life like organic creature that responds to the sound! Very cool!
