The Garden of Discontent
This flower was grown to perform a few simple tasks. To be pretty, to be white, to blend in, to be perfectly symmetrical, and to pose for pictures! What's so hard about that!!!!
But, not THIS flower. Oh, no! This flower unfurled its petals like a bird gone wild, in a manner of its own choosing. It is about as symmetrical the tangle of wires beneath my desk. It acts as if self-determintion is a good thing! Of all the nerve!!!!
THIS flower has been beseeched, cajoled, reprimanded, bribed, threatened, badgered, and finally, incarcerated in a vase until it dies, and yet THIS flower will not stop dancing. This flower has an attitude!
Since I have two magnolia trees in bloom already, the garden is telling me, "We have the power here! NOT you!"
