Barn Owl...male
I took a trip to Mistley Place park in Mistley Essex, UK, which is a rescue centre for Owls and all kinds of animals and birds. It was a very dark, dull day and this Barn Owls cage had very small wire, so I was lucky to get a few decent shots, and also very lucky that he was awake and out of his box! Although I much prefer to see them in the wild we need rescue centres such as this one to look after the ones that cannot survive in the wild.....also its great to see them so close up!
