20100708 Campagne - church

This kind of clocktower is common in central and SW France (Auvergne).

It is called clocher-arcade or clocher-mur in French.

It consist of a prolonged west facade with 2 or 3 arcaded openings, in which the churchbells are hung. Behind the bells is a room with a lean to roof.

In fact, this subject was my second choice, I intended to sketch adjacent castle and grounds, but found it closed.
