My Lemon Lady
Story of Lemon Lady - Years back when I was slowly getting into Street Photography, I was in search of my first portrait. I was out with my small point & shoot camera Sony w-80. Everyone seemed to be busy & I didn't want my first try to fail. Walked the entire market couldn't find one face, I almost gave up then I saw one beautiful old lady selling lemon. She had lots of wrinkles was very well dressed, had a shinning nose ring & sparkling earnings. I went to her and asked can I take a photo please, she said Yes got her saree, hair right and was posing for me (I was shocked, as I was not expecting this) she gave me enough time to frame the shot properly. It was my first portrait & photography has been with me ever since. I have clicked thousands of faces, have traveled in search of interesting faces, I can never forget my first portrait Lemon Lady.
This photo was clicked two days back when I went to meet her, she doesn't work anymore neither does she remembers me, but her kindness is very much alive, she gave me a piece of biscuit that she was eating.
