Nomada flava (male)
A cuckoo bee that parasitises some Andrena bee species. It looks like a wasp but closer examination shows it has feathery hairs - a characteristic of bees. The hair fringe underneath the left femur is about half as long as the max width of the femur, which distinguishes N flava from the otherwise similar A panzeri which has a longer hair fringe. Found in my garden on 25 April 2018. Identified from Falk's bee book. ID confirmed by Stuart Roberts.
