Enjoying Cupani
Named after the Sicilian monk who first recorded it, Sweet Pea 'Cupani' has been cultivated in the UK since 1699. The blooms are smaller than modern hybrids but no other sweet pea can match its intense fragrance. We grow this plant each year and enjoy the beautiful purple-blue and violet flowers and their wonderful perfume. This Marmalade Hoverfly also seems to be enjoying a Cupani flower.
