An Offering
Life is still a bit crazy around here as I try to finish off much needed projects. I did go into my garden yesterday to do a bit of a touch up to keep the weeds at bay and do a bit of tidying with plants who had gone past their prime. The garden is looking great with the new tide of colours for late summer. However, a part of me was sad to know that summer is soon coming to an end and so will the flowers in the garden. Then out of the corner of my eye, the miniature climbing Clematis seemed to be reaching out to me with this "offering". The blossoms have been gone for a long time on the plant but I never noticed how beautiful the leftover pods from the blooms looked. This particular one was lit up by the sun as if to say. "Hey, I'm not done yet." Too often we get drawn to the beauty of the blossoms and forget to appreciate what comes next. It was a reminder to see the beauty in simple things and appreciate all the phases of the seasons.
