Practice Session

We revisited the Balancing Rocks Project along the Ottawa River last weekend. I finally spent some time playing with my new Big Stopper filter. I've actually had it for about 4 months but I haven't really had the time to see how it works. The balancing rocks were crowded with new sculptures which made it harder to isolate a few. The wind was heavier than I would have liked considering I was working with glass while standing on a rock ledge. It also made the water a bit choppy. However, I did try this shot for effect and I am pleased with what the filter can do. There are a few imperfections in this image.( I think I got a bit of spray on the lens.) However, I was encouraged to try more shots on a calmer day. The rocks will be taken down soon though for the winter.
