Loss

I lost a friend recently.

 

The light came into the house and I took a few self portraits. Rather than my usual slightly melancholy or serious expression, I felt as if I could see the weight of my grief in some of the images. I haven't lost anyone I dearly loved since I was five years old. My friend was very special and made me feel special. Her love was magic and now she is gone I feel the loss very keenly.
