PARROT TULIPS, WHIPSPY WHITE - 69
These parrot Tulips are such a ray of hope that spring is just around the corner. They are so pure and whimsical and when I study the detail in each blossom, I am totally delighted and amazed. Tulips continue to grow even after they have been cut, and in a few days, the stalk is not strong enough to support the heavy blossom and they start to bend, and also, they follow the light. I photographed them from tight buds until they had 'expired', yet every stage of their life cycle was amazingly beautiful and inspiring. This is taken in natural light.
