Geraniums, Olson House, Cushing, Maine

The Olson House is a very familiar place to those who know Andrew Wyeth’s painting, “Christina’s World.” It’s at the end of one of the many finger peninsulas in Maine and still, quite isolated.

The House has 14 rooms and I spent two days photographing it. It was an incredibly peaceful experience to be in a house with so little furniture and so quiet.

It was a slightly overcast day which accentuates the silver light of Maine.
