Strata (panoramic)
Just imagine for a moment the countless trillions of shells that must have been laid down in layers to form the chalk strata of this imposing headland...
This pano shot is taken from a similar location to the last one showing the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. The chalk boulders you can see in the forground of the other oneare visible here at the end of this chalk headland. And, although the rope bridge itself is hidden behind the headland, the island is still visible - as are those intrepid souls who braved the swinging rope bridge and who are now exploring the top of the island.
Feel free to zoom in and explore the detail of the strata on the chalk headland - and see how many people you can count on the island itself!
