Shades of Donna
I guess you could call this a black and white self-portrait. This is a scan of a 35mm print, taken in the early '80s, when I took a photography class. I developed the film myself and printed the photo in a darkroom. Old Skool stuff! Back in those days, it was easy to spend all day in a darkroom experimenting, not to mention wasting a lot of photo paper. These days, it is easy to spend all day at a computer, tweaking photos with software.
I used an old Konica SLR, which must have weighed about 5 pounds :-)
The location was near Columbus, Mississippi, at Lake Lowndes State Park. It was a peaceful place to escape to. Their web site is www.stateparks.com/lake_lowndes.html
