Grandpa with his second chinook salmon

Both salmon were caught right in front of my parents house in an area known for holding nice steelhead. The first was a wild chinook, the second a hatchery. Both were large males that had obviously been doing battle during the spawning season as evidence by the marks on their backs. The wild salmon was not taken out of the river and was immediately released. This hatchery salmon came out for a few photos and was then returned to the river.
