Autumn Gate

A backyard gate in the neighbourhood was covered with a colourful reddish pink climber (this species being Thicket Creeper, or Parthenocissus vitacea) at this time of the year. The night after I took this picture it turned rainy and very windy; the next morning, when I passed by, all the beautiful pink leaves in this picture were gone!
