closeup of the narrowest part of the decaying old packhorse bridge in Carrbridge, Scottish Cairngorms. These few rocks are all that would separate a person crossing from the depth below and the flowing river. But apparently it is precisely this precarious arch which has withstood floods and use troughout the ages since the bridge was built in 1717.
