Common Gallinule
This Common Gallinule was seen, along with its relative in the Rails family the Andean Coot (see this photo www.flickr.com/photos/luminouscompositions/52499772656/in... ), at the Pantanos de Villa wetlands in Lima, Peru, South America. I enjoyed a visit to that protected area in the large city with guide Juan Julca, during which we went on a short outing in a small electric boat — moving slowly and quietly, not even disturbing the reflection in this image.
