A Cliff Swallow is seen at the Frenchman River near Val Marie in Grasslands National Park, southwestern Saskatchewan, Canada. As well as on cliffs and buildings, this species also establishes breeding colonies of its mud nests at bridges. This individual was one among dozens that were preening after roosting overnight, before beginning to feed as insects became active.
