Blue-naped Chlorophonia
This species is the quintessence of Neotropical birding in South America with its bright colours in striking combination. Blue-naped Chlorophonia is a fruit-eater; this individual was heading down to a feeding station with bananas at El Dorado Lodge, an excellent base for birdwatchers in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in northern Colombia.
