Sorry I wasn't around for the last few days...was very busy...having fun! ;D Will catch up on your pix today :)
Went to Bharatpur last weekend...These pix are from the very beautiful Laxmi Vilas Palace...which is now converted into a heritage hotel.
Situated in a small but historic town of Bharatpur, known as the impregnable fort , Laxmi Vilas Palace was built in 1887 for Raja Raghunath Singh, the younger brother of the then ruler of Bharatpur, Maharaja Ram Singh. Bharatpur is an old historic town of Jat Dynasty from 1690 A.D. onwards. An eclectic and lively fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture, the palace was earlier called Raghunath Niwas though locals always preferred to call it Kakaji ki kothi.
