With the iconic Tamar Yacht Club nearby, this part of the Tamar River has quite a few cruising yachts as well. The silo in the background is part of the Still Water complex, and was originally built for Ritchie's Mill in 1910. In fact they are not just any grain silo, but were designed by Launceston's preeminent architect of the time, Alexander North (1858-1945). But the invitation to come aboard the yacht in the foreground is very alluring.
