I always work in themes - it's my way of fighting the random chaos that seeks to overwhelm the human soul in modern life. So there are more cows and rural scenes today. There are a million and one pictures of cows on Flickr today, but there is only this one cow. It shall always be unique. It shall always be its own truest representation of the animating Spirit.
The true wonder of photography is its ability to capture a moment. A moment that disappears as quickly as it appeared. This fraction of a second has never been before and will never be again. We often overlook that fact as we plunge headlong into an unthinking future. That's the perennial human problem. We forget to stop, look, listen, and commune. Is this not what our friend the cow is doing here?
