Infra Red Rainbow

Since this is an infra red shot we are not seeing the full extent of the rainbows present. In fact we are only seeing the red end of the spectrum. But to me it was a fascinating experiment: my first IR rainbow.

 

It did not rain and the rainbows appeared out of nowhere in the setting sun. I'm well aware that this is a natural phenomenon caused by the acute angle of the sunlight refracting in the moist air particles. But I also wonder if perhaps those Tibetans are on to something.
