City Park Gates

We'll stick with alternative forms of photography for the moment. In this case Infra Red. IR always brings out more contrast, darkens the sky, highlights the clouds, and of course turns all green vegetation white.

The wrought iron gates here were commissioned in 1902 to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII. They were designed by the famous local architect Alexander North (1858-1945), and cast in the W.H. Knight Foundry in Launceston. They were installed in 1903.
