Lasers in the Cataract Gorge at Launceston? Holy light rays (John) Batman? As part of the MONA FOMA 2021 celebrations, and with the easing of strict restrictions in Tasmania, last weekend we had a presentation of Robin Fox's AQUA LUMA.
Twelve-metre-high water jets erupted in time with the subharmonic frequencies of a new electronic composition. Overhead, high-powered lasers traced geometrical patterns in the mist and finally enveloped the audience in a canopy of light and sound.
