Cloister
The bicycle in the foreground most likely belongs to a staff member working in this wing of the old Mount Royal Hospital in Parkville, Melbourne. When nurses were living in the rooms up the ramp on the left, it is quite possible to imagine they also owned a few bicycles to get around with.
In its prime, this little courtyard would have been like a lovely cloister to a medical community dealing with the various needs of their (mostly geriatric) patients in the main section around the large courtyard I showed you a few days ago.
