Snowstorm Coming
I stayed with colour in this photograph because it clearly shows the progress of the light snowstorm that was blowing across Mt Olympus and into the forest at its base. This photograph was taken with an ND filter and 13 second exposure. The wind was howling and that explains the "blurriness" of the image as all the trees were moving along with the surface of the lake.
The sun is lighting the trees in the foreground which separate Cynthia Bay from Platypus Bay, but beyond them the forest is starting to show signs of the snow flurries.
