Evening Reflections
In this photograph taken from the Ross Bridge as the sun set very low in the west, I'll let the picture be the poem. As I said in my previous shot today, I have not messed around with my colours. These last two shots are as I saw them looking south across the still waters of the Macquarie River in Ross.
The deciduous tree branches have caught the dying golden rays of the sun, and the calm water reflects them like a mirror. The hills in the background seem to be caressed by the gentle light. It is a scene of pure serenity in a world gone mad.
If there is one lesson to be learned from this picture it is this: We are born of Nature and we are part of Nature, and so long as we return to Nature all is well with our soul.
