Exercise 2.5
I've finally decided to make some time to try and progress my photography education, and have started my second attempt at reading Light—Science & Magic.
This is my very first practical exercise from the book—on contrast (light source size). This photo was taken with a small light source: bare flash. The flash was to the left of the subject (obviously, because of the shadow) and fired remotely with a Gadget Infinity Cactus V2 remote trigger.
Because the flash was off-camera exposure had to be calculated manually. I still haven't got this down pat, but after some quick refresher reading I got lucky with the first setting. Flash was set to 1/64th power and aperture to f/3.5 at ISO 100.
