And step five: a GUI at last :)

There it was, a graphical user interface. It was hard to get this... And I guess I didn't work hard enough, if you take a look at the upcoming pictures...

 

Anyway, it's a start. I've been hacking for a little more then a week now, and I've already come this far.

 

This is the touch screen calibrating program running. I had all the programs on my PC, and shared then over USB through NFS, and the result is a working (but slow) full-blown operating system.

 

The biggest problem was the network initialisation built into this OS, which disabled the NFS-shared programs (nfsroot filesystem) and stopped the booting process. After completely removing that network initialisation part it showed this screen after about 5 minutes of booting.
