Sa Pa, although situated in very beautiful countryside, is one city I wish I would have bypassed. This young boy (Hmong), as countless other children, are on the street nonstop. He spends his day aggressively selling trinkets. others are just outright begging. Eight or ten year old little girls will spend the day walking around the city with a baby on their back begging, while the parent lurks in the shadows accumulating the cash. In the evenings at the central square there are continuous child group dance routines with aggressive parents roaming and collecting money.
It is a very sad situation and maybe something that the government should think about taking care of.
