Blauwbrug at dawn
Blauwbrug ("Blue Bridge") owes its name to a wooden bridge that was there from around 1600. It kept the name after 1883 when it was replaced by the new bridge which is inspired by the arcitecture of several of the bridges over Seine in Paris.
I woke up early on Sunday morning. I mean, like 5.30. It was still completely dark when I went to search for nice spots. It seemed like party would never end on Amsterdam. People were still crawling out of bars and heading home. At one corner police and firefighters were dragging something / someone out of canal. And a couple was going at it on the pier I took the photo from... Such a nice city! Luckily I got some niince shots so the trip wasn't complete waste of time.
