Spitting Spider
From #SpiderSunday!! I found this one at a cousin's house in their kitchen on Christmas Eve. I think it's a Spitting Spider (Scytodidae family). I think it could be a Scytodes species, thought I'm not sure which.
Spitting spiders get their name, because they spit a sticky liquid substance at their prey. This substance contains both venom and silk in liquid form and is produced in venom glands in their chelicerae. They target their prey from 10-20 mm away, and are deadly accurate.
